A new fan-favorite actor has joined the star-studded cast of Only Murders in the Building! After making a cameo in the season two finale of the Hulu whodunit, Paul Rudd will return for the third season, confirmed by Variety.

"Paul Rudd, after making an auspicious entrance into the world of our show at the end of Season 2 as Ben Glenroy, is someone we clearly want to know more about and see in our upcoming Season 3," said series co-creator John Hoffman. "He is a clear source of many upcoming questions and, as ever with our show, many twists yet to come."

The new season featured appearances by Shirley MacLaine and Amy Schumer, along with the return of recurring characters portrayed by Nathan Lane, Tina Fey, and Jackie Hoffman.

Golden Globe nominee Rudd is best known for his screen role as Scott Lang/Ant-Man in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, having starred in his two title movies, as well as Captain America: Civil War and Avengers: Endgame. He also held roles in Clueless, Romeo + Juliet, and Perks of Being A Wallflower. Most recently, he lead the streaming series Living With Yourself and The Shrink Next Door. The performer's stage credits include starring in the original Broadway productions of Grace—alongside Michael Shannon—and Three Days of Rain. He also performed as Orsino in a 1997 stage production of Twelfth Night.

Only Murders in the Building was co-created the series by Steve Martin and Hoffman, who executive produce with Selena Gomez, Jamie Babbit, Jess Rosenthal, and This Is Us creator Dan Fogelman. Martin and Gomez lead the cast, with Martin Short.

The show follows the exploits of podcasting trio Charles, Olivier, and Mabel as they seek to find the murderer responsible for the death of Bunny Folger—the board president of the building they all reside in. In the second season (which began streaming June 28), the group become suspects for Bunny’s homicide.

The show was renewed for a third season in July.
