"Like most people, I have loved Nina Arianda since I first saw her in David Ives' Venus in Fur," says photographer Zeren. "I have to say, I think I love her even more after getting some one-on-one time. Most sessions I just sit people down and let them do their thing but with Nina, I knew that I wanted to incorporate her hands into the images because hers are very expressive and articulate. I told her this and she was totally game and ready to play. That willingness for playful exploration, to me, is a huge part of what makes her such an intriguing actor to watch. I am very thrilled that she, in all her 'sister wife realness,' is a part of this project and that our collaboration resulted in these beautiful portraits."
Along with Zeren's creative and artistic portraits, his subjects also share a bit about themselves in a short Q&A.
Details that Arianda shared about herself include that the best advice she has been given is "stay present; cut the shit; doing it - is it" and that three words that best describe her are, "Daughter. Actor. Hungry."
