Stephen Burdman directs the production, which has also committed to "disability-forward" casting of the titular character.

New York Classical Theatre has announced an all-women and gender-fluid cast for their summer production of Shakespeare's Richard III, which will play in Central Park from June 13 to June 25. Stephen Burdman is at the helm. The production has committed to disability-forward casting of the play's titular character, who is widely regarded by disability theatre scholars as being an early dramatization of disability in plays. Delaney Feener, a performer with a limb difference, will star as Richard III.

Joining Feener will be Kristen Calgaro as Queen Elizabeth/Richmond, Connie Castanzo as Lady Anne/Prince Edward/Rivers/Tyrell, Briana Gibson Reeves as King Edward/Catesby/Archbishop, Lucy Lavely as Buckingham/Clarence, Rami Margron as Hastings/Ratcliffe, and Pamela Sabaugh as Duchess of York/Stanley.

The production will feature design by Sabrinna Fabi (Moulin Rouge!), voice and speech coaching by Nora Leonhardt, fight direction by Sean Michael Chin, production stage management by Madison Lane, assistant stage management by Miriam Hyfler, production supervision by Yetti Steinman, and wardrobe supervision by Zola Gray. Casting is by Stephanie Klapper.

All performances will begin at 7 PM, and run through 9 PM. New York Classical Theatre advises attendees to make a free reservation online for access to weather updates and the digital program. Walk-up attendees are welcome the day of performances on a first-come, first-serve basis.
