Tony winners Nathan Lane and Danny Burstein and Tony nominee Zoë Wanamaker are headed back to Broadway in Pictures From Home, a new play from Sharr White (The Snow Geese, The Other Place). Directed by Tony winner Bartlett Sher (South Pacific, To Kill a Mockingbird), the work will play Broadway's Studio 54 beginning January 10, 2023, and open in February. The production is not a Roundabout Theatre Company production.
Additional creative team and ticketing information remains to be announced.
The production will be Lane's first Broadway appearance since the pandemic shutdown, with his last Main Stem bow 2019's Gary: A Sequel to Titus Andronicus. The Only Murders in the Building Emmy winner won Tony Awards for his performances in A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, The Producers, and Angels in America.
Burstein, a Tony winner for Moulin Rouge!, re-joined the company when it reopened on Broadway in 2021, leaving the production in January 2022. Pictures From Home reunites Burstein with Sher after working together on the 2015 revival of Fiddler on the Roof.
Wanamaker, a two-time Olivier winner, is returning to Broadway for the first time since 2006's Awake and Sing!, also directed by Sher.
