Veteran concert artist Marilyn Maye returns to the Birdland Theater for a seven-show engagement beginning December 29 and continuing through January 1, 2023.
The cabaret favorite will also offer a New Year’s Eve Extravaganza! December 31 at 7 PM and 11 PM.
Maye's "Too Late Now," recorded on her RCA The Lamp Is Low album, was chosen by the Smithsonian Institute and included in its 20th Century permanent collection. She made 76 appearances on Johnny Carson's TheTonightShow and was nominated for a Grammy Award in the mid-1960s as Best New Artist. Maye has also appeared in productions of Can-Can, Follies, Mame, and Hello, Dolly!. She has toured the country for decades in concert halls and cabarets and was recently featured in a PBS concert filmed during the pandemic.
Additional show times are December 29 at 8:30 PM, December 30 at 7 PM and 9:30 PM, and January 1 at 7 PM and 9:30 PM.
