Mark MacKillop, the reigning top solo fundraiser for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, is hosting an invitation-only salon and cocktails as part of his ongoing fundraising efforts.
The salon will be hosted at the home of Jamie Drake February 17 and will feature Grammy winner Billy Stritch on the piano. Currently scheduled to perform are Tony winner Lillias White (Hadestown, The Life), cabaret legend Marilyn Maye, and Sydney James Harcourt (Cats: The Jellicle Ball). Additional artists will be confirmed at a later date.
MacKillop, who is originally from Vancouver, British Columbia, has performed in the national tours of Dirty Dancing and Anastasia as well as with Atlanta Ballet, Boston Ballet, and ABT.
Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS is one of the nation’s leading industry-based, nonprofit AIDS fundraising and grant-making organizations. By drawing upon the talents, resources, and generosity of the American theatre community, since 1988 Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS has awarded more than $300 million for essential services for people with HIV/AIDS and other critical illnesses across the United States.
