Theatre for Young Audiences company TheaterWorksUSA hosts its spring benefit April 24 at The Current at Chelsea Piers. Tony winner Chuck Cooper hosts.
Scheduled to appear are Jason Robert Brown, Janet Dacal, Kevin Del Aguila, Stephen Flaherty, Shereen Ahmed, Seth Rudetsky, James Wesley, Lillias White, and Sutton Foster.
This year's event honors TWUSA Board Chair Lisa Chanel, Broadway actor Andréa Burns, TWUSA alum and director-educator Peter Flynn, and Pippin Properties founder-creator Holly McGhee.
"It’s a privilege to honor these individuals for playing such an important role in the work we do," said Artistic Director Barbara Pasternack in an earlier statement. "Their vision, creativity, and ongoing commitment to our mission is truly something to celebrate. They are very much a part of our TheaterWorksUSA family."
Currently represented with Off-Broadway's Dog Man The Musical, TheaterWorksUSA develops and produces musicals and plays for young audiences, presenting them both in New York City and in national tours.
The event will begin with cocktails at 6 PM, followed by the program at 7 PM. All proceeds support the company's work bringing theatre to families nationwide.
