The wife-husband team of actor-singer Jessica Molaskey and guitarist John Pizzarelli returns to the Café Carlyle in New York November 7–18 with their new cabaret show, The Little Things You Do Together.
Molaskey and Pizzarelli were featured together in the 1997 Broadway musical revue Dream. Their new show will include songs from the Gershwin brothers (“They Can’t Take That Away From Me”), Jerome Kern and Dorothy Fields (“A Fine Romance”), and several numbers by Stephen Sondheim, including “Not Getting Married Today” and the club show’s title song. They return following their popular 2016 show The Arc of a Love Affair.
Pizzarelli specializes in cool jazz interpretations of classic standards, romantic ballads, and show tunes.
Molaskey is a veteran of a dozen Broadway shows including the 2008 revival of Sunday in the Park with George. She has appeared in A Man of No Importance at Lincoln Center, Parade, Tommy, Crazy for You, Les Misérables, City of Angels, Chess, Cats, Oklahoma! and The Most Happy Fella. She has released five solo albums.
