Tony Award-winning composer-lyricist Jason Robert Brown, whose works include Parade, The Last Five Years, and The Bridges of Madison County, will perform an April 27 fundraising concert for Theatre Raleigh in North Carolina.
An Evening With Jason Robert Brown will take place at the Contemporary Art Museum in Downtown Raleigh. Brown will be joined by producing artistic director Lauren Kennedy Brady, who has performed his work onstage as well as her studio albums.
The concert will be followed by a talkback.
“The exciting thing about having spent 20 years in New York and working on Broadway, it gives me incredible access to people like Jason. It is my mission to keep that direct creative highway to Broadway open, giving our regional artists an opportunity to collaborate with Tony Award winners and Broadway stars!,” Brady said in a statement.
All proceeds from the event directly benefit Theatre Raleigh and their upcoming Summer Series. Tickets, priced $25–$75, are available at TheatreRaleigh.com.
