The American Theatre Wing honored the 2019 Jonathan Larson Grants recipients at the WYNC Greene Space March 18. The grants, named in honor of the late, Pulitzer Prize-winning composer of Rent, are given annually to honor emerging composers, lyricists, and book writers.
This 2019 recipients are the team of Julia Gytri and Avi Amon (Salonika), Emily Gardner Xu Hall (Untitled Cherry Orchard Musical), Andy Roninson (the musical podcast Take a Ten), and Ben Wexler (Washington Square).

The 2019 Jonathan Larson Grants recipients were chosen by a panel consisting of producer Alia Jones-Harvey and music directors Annastasia Victory and Jason Michael Webb.
This year's recipients each received grant of $10,000 each, as well as additional support in the form of residencies, concerts, and recording grants.
Created and performed by Sydney-based comedian and visual artist Sam Kissajukian, the show comes to New York directly from a sold-out engagement at Edinburgh Fringe Festival
