Back to the Future has announced rush and digital lottery policies for its Broadway engagement.
A limited number of $45 lottery tickets will be available digitally for each performance. Organized through Telecharge, entries will open at 12 AM the day prior to each performance, and will remain open until 10 AM and 3 PM the day of the performance, contingent on if the performance is a matinee or an evening performance (respectively). Entrants may enter once a day at Rush.Telecharge.com, and should they win, they may purchase up to two tickets.
Additionally, a limited number of $40 rush tickets, two per person, will be made available in-person at the box office of the Winter Garden Theatre the day of each eligible performance. Seat locations, and the number of tickets available for rush sales will be determined at the discretion of the box office.
The Olivier-winning production of Back to the Future: The Musical transfers from the West End to Broadway's Winter Garden Theatre this summer, with performances set to begin June 30 ahead of an August 3 opening night.
Based on the 1985 Universal Pictures/Amblin Entertainment film, the musical has a book by Bob Gale and new music and lyrics by Emmy and Grammy winner Alan Silvestri and six-time Grammy winner Glen Ballard, with additional songs from the film, including "The Power of Love" and "Johnny B. Goode."
Casey Likes stars as Marty McFly, alongside Tony winner Roger Bart and Olivier nominee Hugh Coles, both reprising their West End roles as Doc Brown and George McFly.
The musical enjoyed a world premiere at Manchester Opera House in 2020, a run that was cut short due to the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. The production transferred to London's West End the following year, earning seven Olivier Award nominations and winning Best New Musical.
