Felicity Huffman, known for her Oscar-nominated turn in the 2005 film Transamerica and her Emmy-winning work in TV's Desperate Housewives, will make her U.K. stage debut next year in a revival of Taylor Mac's Hir.

Directed by Steven Kunis, performances will begin at the Park Theatre February 15, 2024, and continue through March 16.

Golden Globe winner Huffman, who will play the radical matriarch Paige, will be joined by Steffan Cennydd, Simon Startin, and Thalía Dudek.

In a statement Huffman said, "I'm honored to get to work with Steve Kunis and to perform at the Park Theatre. As an ardent fan of Taylor Mac, I’m so thrilled I get to act in one of Taylor’s brilliant plays. I studied in London back in the palaeolithic era, and it has been a dream of mine to come back here and work someday. I'm a lucky gal."

In Hir Isaac, the prodigal son (Cennydd), has returned home from the brutality of war, only to discover his family home transformed by domestic revolution. The patriarchy has fallen, and his mother Paige (Huffman) has been liberated from an oppressive marriage to Arnold (Startin). Enlisting Isaac’s newly out transgender sibling Max (Dudek) as her ally, Paige is on a crusade to tear apart the old regimes.

The production will also have set and costume design by Ceci Calf, lighting design by Ryan Joseph Stafford, fight and intimacy direction by Claire Llewellyn of RC-Annie Ltd, and casting by Becky Parris.

David Adkin and RJG Productions in association with Midnight Theatricals and Park Theatre produce.
