The song has music by Marrick Smith, lyrics by Joel Perez and Smith, arrangements by Smith and John Clancy, and music direction by Clancy. Musicians heard on the track: acoustic guitar by Doug Derryberry, electric guitar and piano by Marrick Smith, bass by George Farmer, and djembe and percussion by John Clancy.
Among the other tracks on the CD: Leslie Odom, Jr. and Okieriete Onaodowan of Hamilton lead singers on a new version of "Joy to the World" that includes a spoken section about America during Colonial Times.
