Carols For a Cure, the annual holiday album that gathers together cast members from Broadway shows to perform a collection of original material and new spins on seasonal classics, celebrates its 20th anniversary with the release of a special two-disc compilation album featuring performances by the casts of Anastasia, Frozen, Dear Evan Hansen, Hamilton, My Fair Lady, Pretty Woman, and more.
The 20th anniversary edition features 18 new holiday singles, including "Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree" by the cast of Mean Girls, as well as the Pretty Woman cast performing "Auld Lang Syne," and the premiere of "Head Over Holidays" by the cast of Head Over Heels.
Produced by Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, the first edition of Carols For a Cure was released in 1999, with performances by the casts of Cabaret, Fosse, Swing!, Chicago, and The Phantom of the Opera. Each disc will include five unlisted surprise tracks from Carols for a Cure Vols 1–19.
BC/EFA will also pay tribute to late five-time Tony Award-nominated actor Jan Maxwell, with an additional bonus single of the Harold Arlen–E.Y. Harburg classic “Somewhere Over the Rainbow.”
