The Broadway Sings concert series will present its 14th installment February 6, honoring two major legends of pop rock, with Broadway Sings Bowie/Prince at the Highline Ballroom.
The 8 PM concert will feature new arrangements of the hits of the two artists, accompanied by a 14-piece orchestra playing original orchestrations.
The lineup includes Andrew Chappelle (Hamilton), Eden Espinosa (Wicked), Gregory Haney (Hamilton), Van Hughes (Spring Awakening), Ruby Lewis (Paramour), Corey Mach (Hands on a Hardbody), Joel Perez (Fun Home), Jelani Remy (The Lion King), and Christina Sajous (Baby It’s You), with more to be announced.
The evening, the first Broadway Sings double-bill, will include Bowie’s “Starman,” “Heroes,” and “Life on Mars,” and Prince’s “When Doves Cry,” “Purple Rain,” and “Little Red Corvette.” Music will be orchestrated and arranged by Joshua Stephen Kartes.
