Lazarus, which features new songs specially composed by Bowie as well as new arrangements of previously recorded songs, is scheduled to run through Jan. 17, 2016, at New York Theatre Workshop following an initial sell-out and extension.

The Off-Broadway production is helmed by Obie winner Ivo van Hove, who returns to NYTW following his acclaimed staging of Scenes From a Marriage.

The production features scenic and lighting design by Jan Versweyveld; costume design by An D'Huys; video design by Tal Yarden; sound design by Brian Ronan; choreography by Annie-B Parson; music direction by Henry Hey; dramaturgy by Jan Peter Gerrits; stage management by James Latus; and casting by Telsey + Company.
Lazarus is inspired by Walter Tevis' best-selling 1963 novel "The Man Who Fell to Earth," about a human-looking alien who comes to Earth seeking a way to bring water back to his dying home planet. It was also adapted into a film in 1976 starring Bowie in the lead role of Thomas Newton.
