Oh baby! Hamilton's Daveed Diggs and Emmy Raver-Lampman took to social media September 26 to announce the upcoming birth of their child with a triptych of maternity photos.
The pair first met during Hamilton in 2015, where Raver-Lampman performed in the ensemble and understudied the leading Schuyler sisters, and Diggs played the dual role of the Marquis de Lafayette/Thomas Jefferson. Diggs earned a Tony award for his performance before the pair relocated to the west coast.
They have enjoyed a private romance, preferring to keep the focus on their respective careers. Since Hamilton, Diggs has starred on the television show Black-ish, as well as the television adaptation of Snowpiercer. In 2023, he reunited with Hamilton creator Lin-Manuel Miranda to provide the voice for Sebastian in the live-action adaptation of The Little Mermaid, for which Miranda provided additional material.
Raver-Lampman remained with Hamilton for several years, going on to star as Angelica on the national tour, before experiencing a career renaissance of her own. She stars as the fan favorite Allison Hargreeves in The Umbrella Academy, as well as voicing Molly Tillerman in the second season of the Apple TV+ series Central Park. Her taste in interior design has also been commended in recent years, with an Architectural Digest profile of her and Diggs' home going viral.
This will be the couple's first child. We wish the happy family the best!
