Tony nominee Josh Gad shared on Threads that his animated musical series Central Park has concluded after three seasons on Apple TV+.

A fan tagged Gad asking when the show would return, to which the creator replied "Sadly, it's done."

The series premiered on Apple TV+ May 2020, followed by a second season in 2021, and the third and final season in September 2021. In a 2022 interview with Playbill, Gad called the show "a sea of positivity and joy in an often bleak and cynical world."

The animated musical sitcom centers on Central Park manager Owen and his family, who live in a groundskeeper's housing in the park and are often at odds with socialite Bitsy, who is trying to purchase the park. The voice cast includes Leslie Odom Jr., Daveed Diggs, Emmy Raver-Lampman, Titus Burgess, Kristen Bell, Kathryn Hahn, Rory O’Malley, Stanley Tucci, and Gad.

Kate Anderson and Elyssa Samsel (Between the Lines) served as resident songwriters on the series, with guest songwriters including Sara Bareilles, Ingrid Michaelson, Danny Elfman, Robert Lopez and Kristen Anderson Lopez, and more.

Central Park is written and executive produced by Lauren Bouchard, alongside Gad and Nora Smith with Steven Davis and Kelvin Yu who serve as showrunners and executive producers. Seasons 1–3 are available for streaming on Apple TV+.
