Glory Ride explores how a cyclist, an accountant, and the Cardinal of Tuscany joined forces for a remarkable rescue operation. The new musical reveals the untold tale of an Italian Tour de France winner who used his fame and his bicycle to save hundreds of children from Mussolini’s fascists.
Co-writer Victoria Buchholz said, “We call it Les Miz meets Ocean’s Eleven…This fascinating story could rewrite how the world remembers the Italian Resistance during World War II.”
The concerts will also have musical direction by Greg Jarrett, video
design by PJ McEvoy, sound design by Keegan Curran, and lighting design
and production management by Dickson Cossar. Casting is by Harry Blumenau.
