Stoppard’s play takes audiences back and forth between the centuries and explores the nature of truth and time, the difference between the Classical and the Romantic temperament, and the disruptive influence of sex on our orbits in life.

The upcoming production will also have scenic design by John McDermott, costume design by Charlotte Palmer-Lane, lighting design by Les Dickert, and props by Buffy Cardoza.

Trevor Nunn directed the 1995 Broadway production, which earned three Tony nominations, including Best Play. A Broadway revival was staged in 2011, directed by David Leveaux, and picked up two Tony nominations, including Best Revival of a Play.
