Watermill Theatre's 2014 production of Calamity Jane is hitting the road for a 10th anniversary tour that will visit theatres in the U.K. and Ireland, with a West End bow to follow. Carrie Hope Fletcher (CinderellaHeathers) will star.

The tour will launch from Aylesbury Waterside Theatre January 14, 2025. Further stops are planned in Manchester, Leeds, Birmingham, Brighton, Bromley, and more. A full itinerary is available at CalamityJaneMusical.com.

Dates and details on the West End engagement are to be announced.

Calamity Jane began as a 1953 movie musical starring Dorris Day as real-life Wild West figure Calamity Jane. Only loosely based on truth, the story follows a romance between the sharpshooter and folk hero "Wild Bill" Hicock. James O'Hanlon's screenplay (along with the songs by Sammy Fain and Paul Francis Webster) was adapted for the stage by Charles K. Freeman for Texas' Casa Mañana in 1961, eventually becoming a summer stock staple while never reaching Broadway. The work has been more prolifically produced in the U.K., with various tours and major regional stagings dating back to 1979.

Watermill's production premiered in 2014, touring the U.K. the following year.

The upcoming touring production is co-directed by Nikolai Foster and Nick Winston, with Winston also providing choreography. Music supervision and orchestrations are by Catherine Jayes, with scenic and costume design by Matthew Wright, lighting design by Tim Mitchell, sound design by Ben Harrison, and casting by Debbie O'Brien.
