Jan. 23: Following an acclaimed Off-Broadway run, Pulitzer Prize finalist Stephen Karam brings his new comedy-drama The Humans to the Great White Way, helmed by Wicked Tony winner Joe Mantello. Taking place at a Thanksgiving dinner in Manhattan, the show has a cast that features Jayne Houdyshell, Cassie Beck, Reed Birney and Sarah Steele.
Jan. 14: Roundabout Theatre Company's Broadway revival of the award-winning Michael Frayn comedy Noises Off opens with a star-studded cast that includes Andrea Martin, Megan Hilty, Rob McClure and Daniel Davis, to name a few. Jan. 17: The Tony Award-winning Best Musical, A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder, plays its final performance. The hit musical received ten 2014 Tony Award nominations and won four.
Jan. 20: New York Theatre Workshop plays its final performance of Lazarus, a production recently saddened by the news that its composer, David Bowie, passed away Jan. 10. The stirring musical follows a human-looking and forlorn alien's attempts to escape planet Earth.
Jan. 24: Deaf West's innovative production of Spring Awakening wraps up its Broadway engagement at the Brooks Atkinson theatre. The re-imagined staging is set to head out on a national tour in 2017.
