July 31: Catch the Encores! Off-Center revival of Kurt Vonnegut’s God Bless You, Mr. Rosewater, the first collaboration between Little Shop of Horrors' Howard Ashman and Alan Menken. The concert staging, directed by Michael Mayer at New York City Center, stars Skylar Astin, Santino Fontana, James Earl Jones, Rebecca Naomi Jones and Kate Wetherhead, among others.

July 31: Jesse Tyler Ferguson says farewell to his 40+ characters in Fully Committed on Broadway. The solo show, directed by Jason Moore, takes a peek behind the curtain of New York City's fine dining scene.

July 31: The hit musical Motown returned to Broadway anew this month following a popular national tour. The return engagement concludes its limited run before the show heads back on tour in 2017.

July 31: Andrew Lloyd Webber’s record-breaking musical Cats opens on Broadway starring X Factor winner and British pop star Leona Lewis in the role of Grizabella the Glamour Cat.

July 29-31: The Hollywood Bowl presents the Tony-winning musical A Chorus Line, starring Mario Lopez, Krysta Rodriguez, Robert Fairchild and more. The limited run is directed and choreographed by Baayork Lee, who appeared as Connie Wong in the original Broadway production and choreographed the Broadway revival in 2006.

July 30: Broadway Barks! returns to Shubert Alley — the dog and cat adoption event created by long-time friends and animal rights activists Bernadette Peters and Mary Tyler Moore. Hosted by Peters and Gloria Estefan, this year’s star-studded event features Jessie Mueller, Sean Hayes, Sierra Boggess, Michael Cerveris and James Barbour, among many more.

August 1: More than a dozen Broadway stars are rallying in support of the Black Lives Matter movement at a special concert event at Columbia University. The line-up features Audra McDonald, India.Arie, Billy Porter, Jeanine Tesori, Tony Kushner, Danielle Brooks, Rebecca Naomi Jones and more.
