The 25th anniversary of Only Make Believe, which creates interactive theatre for children in hospitals, special education schools, and care facilities, is celebrated October 28 at 7 PM with a starry concert at Broadway's St. James Theatre.
Tony winner Joe DiPietro and Tony nominee Brad Oscar direct the gala benefit with musical direction by Steven Jamail. The evening is scheduled to feature performances and/or appearances by Tony winners Matt Doyle, Lena Hall, and Brian Stokes Mitchell; Tony nominees Montego Glover and Jude Law; Rachel Dratch, Mario Cantone, Seth Rudetsky, Ashlee Montague, and Richard Hankes.
The one-night-only event also recognizes those who have shown
support for the organization. Sam Khichi will be honored with the OMB
Founder’s Award, 11-year-old Max Pisarczyk with the Clay Stefanki Award,
and OMB Founder Dena Hammerstein with the Visionary Award.
Only Make Believe has impacted the lives of over 100,000 children since its founding in 1999.
