A live stage filming of the Off-Broadway musical Between the Lines is headed to theatrical streamer BroadwayHD, which will premiere the title September 23. A live watch party will invite fans to watch the new release at 7 PM ET the day it launches.

The show was filmed during its Off-Broadway run at the Tony Kiser Theater, which performed June 15-September 11, 2022. The cast includes Arielle Jacobs as Delilah, Jake David Smith as Prince Oliver, Vicki Lewis as Ms. Winx/Jessamyn Jacobs/Mrs. Brown/Kyrie, Hillary Fisher as Allie/Princess Seraphima, Will Burton as Frump/Ryan, Jerusha Cavazos as Janice/Marina, John Rapson as Dr. Ducharme/Rapskulio, Wren Rivera as Jules/Ondine, Sean Stack as Martin/Troll/Dad/Delivery Person, and Julia Murney as Grace/Queen Maureen.

Adapted from the book by Jodi Picoult and Samantha van Leer, Between the Lines follows Delilah, an outsider in a new school, who seeks comfort in her favorite book where she feels heard and understood. But, the lines between reality and fantasy begin to blur, and she has to confront whether she has the power to rewrite her own story.

"I couldn’t be happier to have Between the Lines debuting on BroadwayHD," says Picoult in a statement. "The show brought so much joy to those who had the chance to see it live, and we have always dreamed of reaching a wider audience that can fall in love with the music, get swept away by the performances of the cast, and be inspired to live the story they want, if it’s not the story they’re in."

The musical adaptation, which premiered at Kansas City Repertory in 2017 prior to the Off-Broadway bow, features a book by Timothy Allen McDonald (James and the Giant Peach) and a score by Elyssa Samsel and Kate Anderson (Central Park).

Jeff Calhoun (Newsies) was the production's director with orchestrations and arrangements by Gregory Rassen (Bandstand). The creative team also featured choreographer Paul McGill (The Legend of Georgia McBride), music director Daniel Green (Almost Famous), scenic designer Tobin Ost (Newsies), costume designer Gregg Barnes (Mean Girls), lighting designer Jason Lyons (Rock of Ages), sound designer Ken Travis (Aladdin), projection designer Caite Hevner (In Transit), and hair and makeup designer J. Jared Janas (Jagged Little Pill).

Daryl Roth is producing the stage film, along with David Treatman, Columbia Live Stage, and Writers’ Cage, and co-producers Andrew Paradis, Elizabeth Armstrong, Kevin Sullivan, and Tom Tuft. Columbia Live Stage, Armstrong, Paradis, Sullivan, Tuft, and Writers' Cage co-produced the Off-Broadway run.
