The film commemorates the 70th anniversary of Wilson’s birth, the 10th anniversary of his death and Black History Month.
"The Ground on Which I Stand" is the first documentary about the Tony- and Pulitzer-winning playwright, who passed away in 2005, and includes new interviews with film and stage luminaries and his family, scenes from his award-winning plays and more.
Emmy and Peabody winner Sam Pollard directed the film, which features interviews with James Earl Jones, Phylicia Rashad, Laurence Fishburne, Viola Davis, Charles Dutton and Ruben Santiago-Hudson, among others. Watch the film below:
