Off-Broadway News Arielle Jacobs Will Return With Between the Lines Off-Broadway

The new musical is based on the novel by Jodi Picoult and Samantha van Leer and features a score by Elyssa Samsel and Kate Anderson.

It's been a long two-and-a-half years since Between the Lines first announced its Off-Broadway premiere, but several cast members who were originally announced for spring 2020 will be taking the stage when the new musical begins performances June 14 at the Tony Kiser Theater.

Arielle Jacobs returns to the lead role of Delilah in the musical adaptation of Jodi Picoult and Samantha Van Leer’s YA novel of the same name. Also staying with the production are Jake David Smith (Frozen), Vicki Lewis (Damn Yankees, Anastasia), Will Burton (Kiss Me, Kate; Hello, Dolly!), Jerusha Cavazos (The Prom), Pierre Marais (Aladdin), John Rapson (Les Misérables), and Julia Murney (Wicked). Additional casting is still to come.

In Between the Lines, Delilah is an outsider in a new school who seeks comfort in the pages of her favorite book, where she feels heard and understood. But the lines between reality and fantasy soon begin to blur with her friendship with the novel's handsome Prince Oliver.

Though the Tony Kiser Theater is owned and operated by Second Stage Theater, Between the Lines is not a Second Stage production.
