Wednesday, Dec. 2: Broadway stars Andy Mientus, Josh Young, Margo Seibert and Jason Gotay are among the performers gathering at Feinstein's/54 Below mid-week to help Kait Kerrigan and Brian Lowdermilk celebrate the release of their new songbook. "Orange Is the New Black" star Lea DeLaria returns to Smoke jazz club to celebrate her new album "House of David: delaria + bowie = jazz." The new work reexamines the music of David Bowie. Friday, Dec. 4: Fans of musical theatre legend Elaine Stritch (everyone?) won't want to miss Jay Malsky's Elaine Stritch: Merry Christmas. Following an acclaimed solo show at the NYC Fringe Festival, Malsky returns as his favorite, husky-voiced icon to celebrate the holiday season at Feinstein's/54 Below. Tickets from $10; 11:30 PM.
Saturday, Dec. 5: Hedwig star and Tony winner Lena Hall continues her solo debut at Feinstein's/54 Below with two Saturday night performances of The Villa Satori, Growing Up Haight Ashbury, a musical memoir of her "psychedelic" childhood and growing up in a "legendary hippie household." The evening features intimate storytelling, home videos, dance, humor and an eclectic soundtrack made up of classical, soul, new wave, punk rock and more. Tickets from $55; performances run through Dec. 7.
Sunday, Dec. 6: Birdland Jazz celebrates the holiday season with The 2015 Annual James Barbour Holiday Concert, an evening filled with holiday classics like "The Christmas Song" and "O Holy Night."
