Alexandra Billings' autobiographical musical S/He & Me will get a NYC industry reading June 26 at The Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Transgender Community Center in NYC. Billings has co-written the book with Joanne Gordon, who's directing, with a score written by Andre Catrini.
Billings will lead the cast of the reading, alongside Lauren Patten as Chrisanne, Mandy Gonzalez as Mimi, Robert Cuccioli as Bob, and Dani Goldberg as Scott Billings, along with Dennis Cao, Kathel Louis Griffin, Zachary A Myers, and Petralina Rae.
The show is based on Billings' 2022 memoir This Time For Me, which tracks the trans icon from childhood to a pioneering career on stage and screen.
Tom and Michael D'Angora are presenting the reading, in association with Schmegie Inc., Todd Bradley, Bronwyn Newport, Neil and Fern Zee, Bryan McCaffrey, Theatre Nerd Productions, and Nick Padgett.
