At the 2019 Rockefeller Christmas Tree lighting, audiences were treated to the then-cast of Broadway's Mean Girls performing the Christmas pop standard "Jingle Bell Rock." Tina Fey, who wrote the book for the musical based on her original screenplay, introduced the number, saying "This is one of my favorite moments from the Mean Girls movie, but they never usually get through it without kicking a boom box."
Erika Henningsen, Reneé Rapp, Becca Petersen, and Krystina Alabado sing the full number in the video above. Plus, "cool mom" Jennifer Simard isfront and center in the audience capturing it all on her own video camera.
