Two days after Sting's The Last Ship premiered on Broadway, he performed songs from the show (and other tunes that made him famous) on stage of Cunard flagship Queen Mary 2. The new musical honors the pop star's hometown of Wallsend on Tyneside in the North East of England where life revolved around the Swan Hunter shipyard.
