Meryl Streep will star in the new film Florence Foster Jenkins as the socialite who did not let her dubious talent stand in the way of performing at Carnegie Hall. Unlike Foster Jenkins, the up-and coming musical theatre artists who took the stage at “My Carnegie Moment” are rife with talent. Three young singers were selected from Laura Osnes’ social media circles; Osnes then mentored them to the Carnegie Hall stage. The fourth performer was mentored by The Color Purple cast member Rema Webb—and was then surprised onstage with some vocal help from the Color Purple ensemble!
