Hundreds of talented performers lined up around the block to get a chance to audition for the NBC production of Hairspray Live! The open casting call brought Tracy Turnblad hopefuls from Brooklyn, Mississippi, Baltimore and even Ireland to the offices of Telsey + Company. Playbill chatted with some of the spirited ladies and got them to sing some of their favorite tunes from the show.
