The holiday musical Elf, based on the 2003 film starring Will Ferrell, is currently in previews at the the Paper Mill Playhouse, ahead of a Nov. 30 opening. Elf has a book by Thomas Meehan and Bob Martin, music by Matthew Sklar and lyrics by Chad Beguelin. The Paper Mill production stars James Moye as Buddy, Kate Fahrner as Jovie, Paul C. Vogt as Santa, Heidi Blickenstaff as Emily, Robert Cuccioli as Walter and Jake Faragalli as Michael. At a recent press event for the show, the cast offered previews of four songs, including "Christmastown," "Never Fall in Love," and "There Is a Santa Claus."
