SYNOPSIS: Shakespeare's classic comedy staged with an all female cast by the award-winning Phyllida Lloyd.

The magician and former duke Prospero, who has been exiled on an island with his daughter Miranda for years, plots revenge on the brother who usurped his throne with the help of the magical island creatures in his thrall, in one of William Shakespeare's final plays.

The Donmar Warehouse returns to St. Ann’s with The Tempest, the third and final production of Phyllida Lloyd’s revelatory all-female Shakespeare Trilogy set in a women’s prison.
