Last season on Broadway, Mr. Antalosky was a servant to the title character in the revival of Larry Gelbart's Sly Fox, starring Richard Dreyfuss, and understudied Rene Auberjonois — and went on as the ancient moneylender/appraiser Crouch.
For Sly Fox's director Arthur Penn, Mr. Antalosky also appeared in Broadway's Fortune's Fool with Alan Bates and Frank Langella. His Broadway credits also included productions of Cat on a Hot Tin Roof and Measure for Measure .
Regionally, he was Ben Franklin in 1776 at Walnut Street Theatre, where he won a 1996-97 Barrymore Award for his supporting work.
In 2001, in Philly, he appeared in several roles in the Arden Theatre Company world premiere of the Michael Ogborn musical, Baby Case, about the kidnapping and murder of Charles Lindbergh's baby and the media circus that followed. He was praised in Variety for his several broad comic turns. In the expressionistic musical, he spoke one of the lines at the feverish climax of the show, revealing that he was Lindbergh's son, suggesting the baby somehow survived, despite the discovery of a corpse decades earlier. Wide-eyed, doughy and a touch bizarre, Mr. Antalosky seemed a perfect match for the show's surreal energy, where myth and mystery and hype fed on the tragedy with a unstoppable voracity.
Also in Philadelphia, he appeared in Arden's Picasso at the Lapin Agile Wilma Theatre's The Magic Fire, The Concert at Saint Ovide's Fair, Loot and Curano de Bergerac. He also worked extensively in regional theatre throughout the country, from Alaska to Florida and Maine to New Mexico. He was Fezziwig in McCarter Theatre's A Christmas Carol, for example, and performed 13 seasons with Alabama Shakespeare Festival, playing King Lear, Shylock, Falstaff and other major roles.
Television credits include "All My Children" and "Remember WENN."
A 40-year resident of Philadelphia, Mr. Antalosky earned an MFA in Acting from that city's Temple University.
Mr. Antalosky was born in St. Clair, PA. Services will be in St. Clair at the Evans Funeral Home on Second Street, at a time and date to be announced.
