Ms. Corry, who was born in Turtle Creek, PA, and raised in New Orleans, began her performing career as a model for the Ford Agency. She would never return to Broadway, but she did not abandon the theatre. In New Orleans, she wrote the book, lyrics, and some music for the children's show, Cinderella and the Plastic Shoe. The musical was popular throughout the South.
In the '50s and '60s, she worked with the venerable Le Petit Theatre du Vieux Carre, the 86-year-old company which is billed as the oldest continuously operating community theatre in North America.
Ms. Corry also worked extensively in the advertising field. She donated her body to science.
