William Craver (Manager) Obituary
William Craver, a theatrical literary agent and 2013 Tony Award for Excellence in the Theatre recipient, died November 8 in Austin, Texas. He was 87.

Prior to his four-decade career as an agent, Mr. Craver (known to most as Bill) started in the theatre industry working for producer Saint Subber. He went on to serve as company manager for several Mike Nichols-helmed productions, including Neil Simon's The Odd Couple, Barefoot in the Park, and Plaza Suite.

Mr. Craver's clients included playwrights, composers, lyricists, and directors. Among them were three Pulitzer Prize winners: Jonathan Larson, David Auburn, and Robert Schenkkan.

He also left his mark on the theatre community as a board member of The American Theatre Wing, Dramatists Play Service, and the Jonathan Larson Foundation.

He is survived by his sister, Virginia Craver Dinsmore. She and her family ask that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the University of Texas at Austin's Theatre Department (where Mr. Craver studied), the American Theatre Wing, the Jonathan Larson Foundation, or Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS.
