SEEKING: a multi-cultural cast of four strong character singers who move well. All must be able to play a range of characters and give 100% at early morning performances. Please prepare a musical theater up-tempo song in the style of the show that shows off your vocal ability and personality.
Actor 1: CHARLIE BROWN: Vocal range: B-flat2 to F4 (Baritone). He is gentle, loving, insecure. A lovable loser with endless determination and hope, but who often fails due to his insecurities, interference from others, and a permanent case of bad luck.
Actor 2: LUCY VAN PELT: Vocal range: G3 to F#5 (Mezzo-Soprano). She is bossy, selfish, and a know-it-all. She is not deterred by the fact that her information is often inaccurate. She bullies and belittles others, especially Charlie Brown and Linus. She does have a soft side, which is seen through her love for Schroeder.
Actor 3: SALLY BROWN: Vocal range: B3 to A-flat5 (Soprano). Charlie Brown’s younger sister. She is friendly and sweet but can also be lazy and obsessive. Sally has a “take it easy” approach to life, preferring to slide by while doing as little work as possible. She is hopelessly in love with Linus.
Actor 4: SNOOPY/LINUS & SCHRODER: Vocal range: C3-A4 (Tenor). This actor will make multiple quick changes and play the iconic peanuts characters: Snoopy (Charlie Brown’s pet beagle), Linus (Lucy’s kindhearted baby brother) and Schroder (obsessed with Beethoven and Charlie Brown’s best friend). This tracking is subject to change.
