DESCRIPTION

Riverdance is entering its 30^th Anniversary year and we are looking for a Head Carpenter to lead this tour. Riverdance has been an international sensation and has amassed an enormous following which is still filling theatres, and arenas. Many of the crew members on the North America National Tour have been with this show for a decade and we hope to find another member who will enjoy the experience of working with a tight-knit group of professionals.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Managing the load-in and load-out of each venue on the 6 month tour, including the construction and strike of the scenic elements involved.

· Advancing the show with each venue ahead of the load-in to ensure a smooth experience for each stop on the tour.

· Working with the Crew Heads to manage local union crew at each show stop.

· Working with the Crew Heads to pack, load-out, travel, load-in, and tech all relevant elements of the show between tour stops.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIRED SKILLS

· Detail-oriented, willing to complete both complex and menial repetitive tasks with exacting precision.

· Technical Theatre experience, specifically national touring experience, is a plus.

· Mastery of general hand tools, power tools, hardware, and general construction methods/practices.

· Knowledge of theatrical rigging.

· Willing to work in an 8-show a week schedule, if need be.

· Strong ability to lead and instruct a crew of up to a dozen people, with varying skill levels.

· Able to physically lift 75 pounds, comfortable lifting and walking backwards, comfortable walking up and down stairs.

· Excellent practical, problem-solving, organizational, planning and time management skills.

· Team player with a positive attitude.

SALARY & BENEFITS

· This is a full-time touring position with a base weekly salary of $2,200/week.

· All Overtime, 7^th Day, Overages, etc. are paid on top of the base salary per the Full Pink Tier 2 Touring Agreement.

· Benefits Per IATSE Full Pink Contract
