Electrician

Reports to: Lighting Supervisor
Department: Production
Compensation: $550/week stipend, housing and meals
Dates: Mid-May to Mid-August

Duties may include, but are not limited to:
-Assist Lighting Supervisor with paperwork
-Install and strike lighting systems in the O’Neill’s two indoor and two outdoor performance spaces,
-Maintain house equipment in performance spaces and in the onsite bar Blue Gene’s Pub
-Program and operate the light board for rehearsals and performances
-Occasionally supervise, train, and mentor a team of staff, interns and/or overhire
-Work directly with designers and collaborate with artistic staff from each of the O’Neill’s four summer conferences to best support the performances from a lighting standpoint
-Assist Lighting Supervisor in creating and maintaining all lighting department paperwork

Ideal Candidates:
-Organized, flexible, and responsible with an attention to detail
-Possess excellent communications skills, a positive attitude
-Candidates must be proficient with ETC consoles
-Applicants should be proficient in using drawings to create a working system
-Experience with Vectorworks and LightWright 5 a plus
-Ability to lift objects up to 50 lbs.
-Ability to work overhead for a sustained amount of time
-Ability to comfortably and safely work at heights
-Ability to ascend/descend ladders
-Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment
-Interest in new work development is a plus

SUMMER AUDIO POSITIONS

Audio Supervisor

Reports to: Production Manager
Department: Production
Compensation: $685/week salary, housing and meals
Dates: Mid-May to Mid-August (Advanced remote prep work included)

Duties may include, but are not limited to:
-Supervise, train, and mentor the Audio Team (Assistant Audio Supervisor, Audio Assistants, fellows and overhire)
-Lead audio load-in and load-out of the O’Neill’s two indoor and two outdoor performance spaces
-Work with Production Manager to interview and hire Audio Dept. staff
-Travel to PRG for prep of the production rental package
-Work efficiently while also adhering to all rules and safety guidelines
-Maintain equipment in performance spaces and in the on-site Pub
-Coordinate with Associate Production Manager and Lighting Supervisor to set a daily working schedule
-Work directly with designers and collaborate with artistic staff from each of the O’Neill’s four summer conferences to best support the performances from a sound standpoint
-As needed, serve as audio system engineer
-Support other departments as directed
-Create and maintain all sound department paperwork
-Some pre-season prep work will be required

-Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
-Must be proficient in drafting and reading sound plots and using drawings to create a working system, audio mixing, digital audio networking and QLab software
-Ability to lift objects up to 50 lbs.
-Ability to work overhead for a sustained amount of time
-Ability to comfortably and safely work at heights
-Ability to ascend/descend ladders
-Experience with Vectorworks a plus
-Interest in new work development is a plus
-Experienced in supervising others or leading a team

Audio Assistant/Engineer (A1)

Reports to: Audio Supervisor
Department: Production
Compensation: $525/week stipend, housing and meals
Dates: Mid-May to Mid-August

Duties may include, but are not limited to:
-Assist with audio load-in and load-out of the O’Neill’s two indoor and two outdoor performance spaces
-Maintain equipment in performance spaces and in the on-site Pub
-Help ensure the safety and functionality of the sound systems for the two outdoor and two indoor performance spaces
-Prepare soundboards and equipment for shows as well as maintain the quality of sound throughout a performance
-Check sound levels and make sure the equipment is functioning correctly, set up equipment for rehearsals and performances, run sound checks
-Act as sound engineer for rehearsals and performances and other events as assigned
-Work directly with designers and collaborate with artistic staff from each of the O’Neill’s four summer conferences to best support the performances from a sound standpoint
-Support other departments as directed

Ideal Candidates:
-Possess knowledge of the capabilities of different types of sound equipment
-Organized, flexible, and responsible with an attention to detail
-Possess excellent communications skills and a positive attitude
-Work well in a team or independently
-Good under pressure with an ability to react quickly and creatively to solve any issues that arise
-Must be proficient audio mixing, digital audio networking and QLab software
-Ability to lift objects up to 50 lbs.
-Ability to work overhead for a sustained amount of time
-Ability to comfortably and safely work at heights
-Ability to ascend/descend ladders
-Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment
-Interest in new work development is a plus
