The Stage Operations Supervisor is a key member of the Production Departments.

Reporting to the Director of production with significant interaction with the Technical Director, Lighting Supervisor, Sound Supervisor and Props Supervisor.

Characteristics and Experience Vital to This Position:

Professional supervisor with experience in live theater equipment and technology.

Strong experience and understanding of stage rigging and rigging technology.

Detail-oriented & strong work ethic with a proven track record of managing high-level productions.

Previous responsibility overseeing Deck and Prop crews with an emphasis on safety and clear communication.

Positive attitude and ability to serve as the liaison between multiple parties with varying goals.

Self-Driven.

Organized

Strong sense of humor

Willing to work nights, and weekends.

What you will do:

In non-performance weeks the Stage Ops Supervisor will coordinate with all production departments to access both production needs as well as providing o going support During technical rehearsals and during the nightly run of all shows, this position will liaison with all department supervisors and crew leads to provide staff and seasonal employees with the resources and support needed to complete tasks on time, efficiently and according to company policy.

This position will be responsible for reading rehearsal reports, responding to them in a timely manner and confirming department supervisors and leads complete the tasks necessary to uphold the artistic and safety needs of the show.

The Stage Operations Supervisor is responsible for managing crew's hours and the accuracy of backstage employee's reported hours.

You will attend all production meetings, technical rehearsals, and onstage rehearsals.

Coordinate and execute with Scenery, Electrics, and Sound departments the rigging needs per production. Including the installation of masking quick change booths etc.

Maintain and survey masking and drapery stock and rigging hardware.

Assist with load in/out for both spaces

Assist with electrics hang and focus in the Festival

Maintain running blues and replace as needed

Coordinate the masking needs for all productions

Assist with load in/out for both spaces

Assist with electrics hang and focus in the Festival

When needed serve as performance supervisor for Deck Crew.

Check in at each performance to confirm scenery and other related departments are show ready.

Sub in as needed for run crew.

Skills required:

· Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

· Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends and overtime during peak seasons.

· A good understanding of electrical safety at work and safe working practices.

· Committed to personal development.

· Ability to cope well under pressure.

· Positive attitude to extra duties and new challenges.

· Strong ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve in a time-sensitive production environment.

· An excellent communicator with patience and understanding of a variety of personalities.

Full Time Year Round

Salary 45k Annually plus Benefits PTO etc.
