Derby Dinner Playhouse is currently seeking a Stage Manager for its 50th season. The Stage Manager is an essential member of the production team and serves as the hub of communication between actors, the director, the production team, and crew members. They keep all aspects of rehearsal, tech, and performance running smoothly, on time, and organized.

Derby Dinner Playhouse is in its 50th season and located in Clarksville, IN, just outside the Louisville, KY metro area. Derby Dinner produces 8 mainstage and 4 children’s musical theatre shows and our seasonal concert series brings in 6-8 guest performances in our 500-seat arena theatre each season. The Stage Manager position at Derby Dinner Playhouse offers a unique opportunity to be part of a dynamic and creative team in a historic theater setting. As the hub of communication, the Stage Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of all aspects of the production process. From rehearsals to performances, the Stage Manager coordinates and organizes the team to deliver outstanding shows to our audiences.

The ideal candidate for the Stage Manager position at Derby Dinner Playhouse will have strong organizational and communication skills, the ability to multitask and problem-solve under pressure, and a passion for theatre production. They must be detail-oriented, adaptable, and able to work well in a fast-paced environment. Previous experience as a Stage Manager in a theatrical setting is preferred.
