DESCRIPTION

Looking for photographer with experience in stage photography for the Rehearsal for Truth International Theater Festival. The festival is an annual showcase of contemporary Central and Eastern European theater, honoring the artistic and political legacy of the Czech playwright/dissident/president Václav Havel. We support exchanges between American and European theater professionals and celebrate the power of the theater to transform our lives. The festival is in two parts: a reading series running April 14 - May 4, and the main festival, which runs May 26 - June 15. This year's festival include work from Austria, Belarus, Estonia, Czechia, Hungary, Lithuania, Romania, Slovakia, and Ukraine. Work focuses on topics like human rights, freedom, and the toll of war. In all, the festival will include 14 -17 performances/events. Events tend to be 90 minutes or so, sometimes with a talkback after. If there is a talkback, photographer can leave after a few shots are taken.

Good for those interested in international theater and/or creating a performance photography portfolio. This year is includes staged readings, full performances, puppetry, clown, and music.
