Roundabout Theatre Company seeks an energetic, organized person to join the company’s Management Department as a Management Assistant as a part of its Diversity and Arts Job Training Program. The Management Assistant will work within the producing and artistic department in support of the Winter & Spring, 2025 productions on and Off-Broadway at the Todd Haimes Theatre and the Laura Pels Theatre at the Harold and Miriam Steinberg Center for Theatre. This role will be mentored by the Associate General Manager and will work closely with the Executive Producer and the General Managers and other management staff.
The ideal candidate is interested in the administrative and producing side of theatrical productions, is organized and shows an eagerness and willingness to learn.
THIS IS SOME OF WHAT THE ASSISTANT WILL DO:
· Assist the Management team with calendar management, note taking, and all communications
· Work with Special Events and Artistic in planning and executing Opening Nights, the annual gala, and donor events
· Serving as the liaison to other departments within the company, production teams, and to external contacts
· Represent Management team in writing and in person
· Maintain confidential information
· Support Executive Producer, General Managers, and Company Managers as needed
· Assisting with ad hoc projects as necessary
THIS IS SOME OF WHAT THE ASSISTANT SHOULD BRING:
· Proficiency in Outlook, MS Office, and Excel
· Knowledge of and passion for theatre
· Positive attitude and sense of humor
· Willingness to learn and collaborative spirit
· The ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines
· The ability to work primarily in person in midtown Manhattan as this role will require traveling to multiple theatres within Times Square and general NYC travel
· Flexibility in schedule, as this role will directly support the live productions taking place in the evenings, nights, and occasional weekends
· Must be able to lift 20 pounds
This assistant receives:
· An introduction to full Roundabout senior team, staff and affiliated artists
· A home base at the Roundabout offices, including a desk and access to a computer, printing, and office supplies
· EDI training with TLB Collective and D.A.S.H Consulting (Tammy Bormann and Elizabeth Williams-Riley)
· EDI trainings through the online resource Paradigm Reach
· Ability to participate in affinity groups across the organization

Salary – equivalent to $42,250 plus overtime and benefits
Duration – this is a Full Time Temporary position for 6 months with a starting date around December 2024
This position conforms with the New York City Musical and Theatrical Production Tax Credit Diversity and Arts Job Training Program which requires candidates to be current residents of New York.
