DESCRIPTION

We are looking to hire a male speaker to co-present 2-3 college orientation programs around the U.S. in the last two weeks of August. If it's a good match this could become an annual job every August. You can read more about these programs at http://sexualityeducation.com/orientationPrograms.php .

Colleges hire us to present the programs to their incoming freshmen students, who are generally required to attend. Topics include topics like consent, bystander intervention, safer sex, etc. Audiences range in size from 300 to 3,000, depending on the size of the college.

Speakers co-present in pairs. The program is scripted, and varies a bit from college to college. The presenter would need to learn the script for the basic program and a few "modules" used by some schools, which fit together into each approximately 1-hour program.

Speakers are paid a $500-$600 honorarium for each speaking engagement (depending on distance travelled from your home), plus we cover all travel expenses including food and lodging. Most of the time, you would be away from home at least 2 days per presentation, because of the time it takes to travel out and back to each one. Presentations take place on both weekdays and weekends.

* We are especially interested in applicants who have had some paid or volunteer experience in the field of sex education, health education, sexuality, and/or sexual assault prevention, and/or education/training in the field of sexuality.
