DESCRIPTION

Octopus Theatricals, an award-winning independent producing company, seeks a highly detail-oriented and proactive Business Manager to oversee, execute and manage general business and financial operations. Collaborating directly with the “tentacles” (our closely intertwined team of producers, managers and multi-hyphenates), the Business Manager will oversee financial and administrative pratices and procedures from the micro of processing payroll and bookkeepingto the macro of monitoring business strategies across several projects, artists and initiatives spanning the commercial, experimental and touring realms. The ideal candidate brings a passion and joy for live performance, an innate ability to problem-solve through unique circumstances and challenges, the ability to work with a diverse team of colleagues, and an interest in supporting a wide range of artist-driven producing models. The Business Manager will be encouraged to bring their full self to the position. We are a smallcompany and rely on team members who work well independently and as a group as needs dictate. The environment is fast-paced, creative and highly collaborative.
