Lincoln Center Theater’s LCT3 celebrates the world-premiere opening of Zoe Kazan’s After the Blast October 23. The cast is led by Tony Award nominee Cristin Milioti and William Jackson Harper, who play a couple with one last chance to have a baby in a future where fertility is scarce.

Kazan’s futuristic drama pictures the planet in the aftermath of a total environmental disaster.

Performances began October 7 in the Claire Tow Theater with direction by Lila Neugebauer.

Completing the cast are Eboni Booth, Will Connolly, Ben Horner, David Pegram, and Teresa Yenque.

After the Blast features sets by Daniel Zimmerman, costumes by Kaye Voyce, lighting by Eric Southern, sound by Brandon Wolcott, and projections by Lucy Mackinnon.

Kazan’s plays include Absalom, We Live Here, and Trudy and Max in Love. As an actor, she was Emmy-nominated for her performance in HBO’s Olive Kitteridge, and has appeared on Broadway in Come Back, Little Sheba; The Seagull; and A Behanding in Spokane.
