Directed by Davis McCallum, the world-premiere production will officially open Dec. 15 and continue through Jan. 4, 2015.
Joining Knight (Romeo and Juliet, A Life in the Theatre) are Jessica Dickey (Wit, Hit the Wall), ), Crystal Finn (16 Words or Less, Breaking the Spell), Tony Award nominee Jonathan Hogan (The Homecoming, Burn This), Brian Hutchison (The Invention of Love, Proof), Leah Karpel (Hot L Baltimore, 4000 Miles), Cameron Scoggins (The Big Meal, Lovers), Brenda Wehle (The Big Knife, Come Back Little Sheba), Danny Wolohan (The Patron Saint of Sea Monsters, An Octoroon) and Elvy Yost (Black Tie, The Belle of Belfast).
"Eddie (Mr. Knight) manages an Italian chain restaurant in Pocatello – a small, unexceptional American city that is slowly being paved over with strip malls and franchises," press notes state. "But he can’t serve enough Soup, Salad and Breadstick Specials to make his hometown feel like home. Against the harsh backdrop of Samuel D. Hunter’s Idaho, this heartbreaking comedy is a cry for connection in an increasingly lonely American landscape."
