What Do Critics Think of Shakespeare Theatre Company's King Lear Starring Patrick Page?

Reviews are rolling in for Shakespeare Theatre Company's production of King Lear, which began performances at the Klein Theatre on February 24. Originally scheduled through March 26, performances were recently extended through April 8.

STC Artistic Director Simon Godwin helms the Shakespeare tragedy starring Tony nominee Patrick Page (Hadestown) as the titular king.

Joining Page at the Washington, D.C., venue are Shirine Babb as Kent, Terrance Fleming as Burgundy, Jake Loewenthal as Albany, Raven Lorraine as Ursula, Michael Milligan as Fool, Todd Scofield as Oswald, Craig Wallace as Gloucester, Yao Dogbe as Cornwall, Rosa Gilmore as Goneril, Matthew J. Harris as Edgar, Stephanie Jean Lane as Reagan, Julian Elijah Martinez as Edmund, Hunter Ringsmith as France, and Lily Santiago as Cordelia. Ensemble members include Ryan Neely and Bekah Zornosa with understudies Robyn Cohen, Gil Mitchell, Jackson Knight Pierce, Rachel Sanderson, and James Whalen.
